Ag Appreciation Day - Sponsored by the Dalhart Area Chamber to say Thank you to all the area agriculture.  Event hosts trade show, free lunch, ECU classes and Speaker during lunch.

Fireman's Chili Supper- Held each year to benefit the local volunteer Fire Department, Chile, Stew and Desert.

Muscle Car Party Weekend - The event features a classic car show, bicycle drag races, burn out and Dinner & Dance.  The eventsis sponsored by the Dalhart Cruzers Car Club and each year the club raffles a classic car.  For 2009 is was at 1968 FORD f-150 pick up.  

Fishing Durby - Sponsored by the Texas Parks & Wildlife and The City of Dalhart.  This event is open to kids 12 & under.  The fishing pond is stocked with trout prior to the event.  Some of these fish are tagged with prizes for the kids to claim.   

XIT Rangers St. Jude's Trail Ride - The XIT Ranges host this fund raising event for Jude's.  The event includes a trail ride starting in the morning and finishes with an old fashioned chuck wagon dinner. 

June

XIT Trail of Sales- 75 Miles of garage sales, flee markets, yard sales and more for a one day shopping event in the area communities for Texline, Dalhart, Hartley and Channing.  This event is held the 1st Saturday in June and each community organizes a community wide garage sale. 

Dairy Day Festival to celebrate Dairy Month, is held the first Saturday in June.  This is an educational endeavor sponsored by the West Texas Dairy Women’ Association. This fun-filled day features free dairy products, and contests such as cow milking, milk chugging, cheese carving, and other dairy-related games. The association makes donations to local organizations on behalf of the winners of the contests.

July

Community Fireworks Display - The City of Dalhart and the Dalhart Area Chamber host an annual community fireworks display each July 4th at dark thirty over the Rita Blanca Lake. The event is free thanks to contributions made by local businesses and the city’s Community Development Fund. In 2008, the West Texas Off-Road Association scheduled their 11th Annual XIT Mud Bogs on July 4th behind the old KOA Campground. The event features mud racing for several classes of vehicles, and foot races for those brave enough to get their feet dirty.

KXIT July Bash - Classic Rock concert that is sponsored by KXIT Radio Station each July. 

August

XIT Rodeo and Reunion, held the first Thursday, Friday and Saturday in August each year, is a three-day festival of nonstop fun and good food. It hosts the world's largest free barbecue, nightly dances, a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo, old fashioned Melodrama, Fiddler's Contest, Arts & Crafts Show and more.
